About

Welcome to my journey through yoga, where tradition meets contemporary practice. I am Adriana Maldonado, a passionate Yoga Teacher and a dedicated scholar currently pursuing a PhD at the Open University. My research focuses on the dynamic era of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, exploring the intriguing intersection of Positive Psychology and Yoga. I am particularly interested in the state of Absorption and Altered States of Conciousnes and their link to spirituality.

I hold an MA in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from SOAS University, completed in 2021, which laid the foundation for my specialisation in Modern Yoga. My academic and practical paths are intertwined, as I not only study the philosophical aspects of yoga but also actively teach and share this ancient wisdom.

Since 2015, I have been teaching yoga, allowing me to connect with and inspire students from various walks of life. My classes and workshops are designed to deepen the understanding of Yoga History and Philosophy, providing a comprehensive view that bridges past insights with modern applications.

Beyond teaching, I contribute to the field through articles that delve into Yoga History and Philosophy, aiming to enrich the yoga community’s knowledge and practice. Whether you are a yoga practitioner, a fellow teacher, or a curious learner, I invite you to explore the depths of yoga with me through teacher trainings, workshops, and courses that illuminate the transformative power of yoga.
